Information Regulator publishes new details on Department of Justice ransomware attack

Good, hope they encrypt the **** out of their ****. Legal system in SA is ####ed bought judges, unfair rulings. Remember kids you can be 110% correct in the eyes of the law in South Africa but if your pockets are not deep enough to have the judges in them you are screwed.

It's like they don't even see the irony that one of the first major data breaches after POPIA came fully into effect was at the information regulator for POPIA possibly exposing POPIA information officer's personally identifying information.

What a joke. Good luck enforcing POPIA after this.

I nearly worked in that IT operations department 4 years ago. Dude was kinda prickish, and even gave a counter offer after I rejected their position with another job.

These pesky flies and their personal information...
Seriously though, as someone in Infosec, this is incredibly sad

2 years left before this country collapses in on itself.
if the ANC win then its game over (which they will, so good luck) RIP
