For the last time another starter pack means new details, new number, RICA, the whole shebang.
On Vodacom a swap costs R120, not sure about MTN.

I hear you, but if I wear my sim card out, surely getting a new SIM card transferred that should work?

thats essentially all I want to do,

transfer from one MTN to another MTN

Buy a sim @ Checkers for R0.99, do a sim swop, usually takes 2-3 hours (not 24hrs).

0_o I've never done that...and I've owned phones for over 10 years now. Granted I have a had new sim cards, but those were all due to needing a newer or smaller one.

(well actually I probably didn't need the "upgrade" to 64k, but I thought I did cuz the previous one was a 16k mini broken out of a full size one gotten around 1996 which seemed like it might hamper my shiny new Xperia neo at the time)

so a few issues Ive picked up,

Im not 100% sure how to get the display to time out and sleep when I close the phones cover,
know it has a proximity sensor, how to use it?

also vibrate, how can it be set to always do that when a call comes through?
saw its either or, not both?

otherwise, really happy with it, no screen protector in the box though,
so wondering how long the screen will stay smudge free......

I was going to buy my wife the Samsung J1 for combined birthday/Christmas present until I saw the Injoo on Takealot.
It seems like a much better phone but as I've never owned a smartphone I'm looking for guidance. Samsung J1 or Injoo Fire?
As a retiree I can afford to make a balls up. Help Please.

Cheapskate :D

Seriously though, I've been using the InnJoo for about a month now and my only complaint is charging time (compared to my old Gobii ivP), it's certainly superior to the Samsung on specs.

... mind you, Bond & I got our InnJoo's on special @ R1199 ;)

When you say Complex do you mean more so than any recent Android phone? Because the Android settings menu is pretty much standardized?

wanted to ask Mick,

have you gotten the proximity sensor to work when you close the cover?
cant find the option for that, at the moment press the power button to sleep the display.....

also did you get any screen protector for yours?

Couple of apps in the play store for the proximity sensor but the fact that it's at the top left of the screen causes problems with swipe down if used for sleep.

No screen protector came with mine but I don't use them anyway.

MickZA, as I'm also in PE can I call on your help in setting up if I go the Injoo route.
I take it that your recommendation is this and not the J1.

Better off calling on teenagers (or younger) for assistance with Android but feel free to PM me if you need help with the basics :)

Is the InnJoo better? The Samsung might have better support if it breaks but the Innjoo has a bigger screen and more RAM which was my reason for upgrading and I'm happy with it.

Both phones use micro SIMs so check what size her current phone uses and sort that out before you order so as to avoid frustration if you decide to go ahead.

Ok so then no screen protector is standard then, didnt get cheated;)

what I want to do with the sensor is sleep immediately when I close the cover , as thats how those S5-S6 samsungs do it.

does something like that not exist in the settings? or must I find something in the play store first?

Sorry necro

just wanted to find out if anybody with their innjoo phone suddenly experience reboots when calls/sms/WhatsApp come through?

Happens intermittently, but noticed it a few times,

Don't know if there's a upgrade I need to load?
