I think not. The more I look at this the more I think it's likely to be a total POS.

Could be....in the video reviews the hardware looks good. Going to go home now and check if someone's posted a stock Android rom for it.

It seems like basically all apps are in the innjoo store anyway. Telegram is there and Waze too. Apps like Capitec is not though.

Because I'm a pessimist :p

I don't know man, I don't trust it. At the price point I would feel safer to spend my money on the Moto G 4G. even if it has 1/2 the RAM.

Thanx for posting info about this device.

I had a look at the specs : http://www.innjoo.com/ProductDetail/ONE/Techspec

and the 3g model has shytty specs.Be careful when purchasing this device,it is only the Lte version that has the 64bit mediatek processor.I dont know if this skin/android version is user friendly and if it will be simple to install google services. Some of the Chinese handsets experience usb port failure etc but takealot is pretty decent with returns.

If you install the play store then you should get access to Telkom and Capitec apps right?

Not sure but I think you would need to install Google services framework and edit the build.prop (needs root access) to make it look to Google like you have a certified device.

So, per the spec page they're doing 3G/WCDMA on 850 and 2100 MHz. Which, you know,

Our networks use 2100 for 3G mostly, Cell C rolled out in 900. So it should be fine I would say unless you are using Cell C, but even with Cell C my understanding is they also now have towers running 2100

Looks good...any feel for the price? Should be cheaper than Takealot though Orange is a relative pain to deal with.

What I like about the Meizu is that it supports Telkom TD LTE 2300 band. Not many phones around that does.
