Insane Lagspikes :(

Anyone else playing on EU servers getting bouts of extreme lag. It has caused my death on numerous occasions today. I'm on SAIX shaped, Scarshield Legion.
 
Well last night we had our server crash on us after major lag spikes.
 
Gotta love it when the World Server goes down while in SSC, All the trash respwnd... on the plus side, my alt had a ball clearing up all the mineral nodes that had spwnd :D

I play Horde, obviously :P

My latency would run anything from 600 to 2500 last night. Interesting how it tended to happen when I was trying to AoE a bunch of mobs, causing me to lag out for 15 seconds, then catch up dead. :(
 
This is getting to the point where it is unbearable. I am actually contemplating using dial-up because it will give me a better latency.
 
my latt was fine... 500 avg ms on 3g last nite (only after our server crashed)
 
Getting 1500+ on Webafrica Shaped. WiMax is just as bad since its running via Telscum
 
all this chatter bout the lag spikes and poor latency is not helping my cause! i want to rejoin wow for the next expansion but im having some serious doubts!

Dont listen to them my latency was fine last night. Only happens once in a while. 700ms if i use my unshaped it 500-600 on a 384kbps line. But if you rolling a ally then dont bother :D
 
I'm have an unshaped account from WA, and my ping hasn't been too great. I play on EU(Spinebreaker). My question to the guys that are getting good pings, are you EU or US, and who is your ISP?

Oh and Horde ftw! :D
 
On ODS unshaped fiber and I just got 11k ms before I got kicked off, now I can't get back on at all.

Support says there is a "Core failure at Telkom".

Whatever that means :(

Ping times to US are SHOCKING!!!! come on telkom sort your **** out.
Can any1 do a tracert to the US servers?
I reckon telkom is routing all our traffic via Sat links instead of the SAT-3 - hence the stupid lag...
 
i was tracing to the us servers and its terrible.

Decent until it hops to lon-ip-dir-telecity-pos-6-0.telkom-ipnet.co.za.
 
its in gif form right now as it was sent to mweb wimax admin to investigate the crapy lag.

i'll run another trace when i get home and then will paste it here.
