Well as suspected from Telkom the poor service they try to provide has once again come and gone. I was told the installation date was on the 25 October has now elapsed, phoned several times but no progress, Where to now?...Anyone else with this problem and how do you resolve it?...Unfortunetly I cannot do self install as I'm on a ISDN line and it has to first be converted...

For me there was definitly an installaion date it's on their system, but they told me that the techie doing the installation would phone me...Mmmm! either his on strike on holiday or just does not have the decency to let me know what's happening!...Typical

I also had an ISDN line and when I ordered, the guy on the phone said it would be easier if I cancelled my ISDN and requested a new ADSL service - I did this and waited around 4 months. My number changed - but that did not worry me as I never use the landline anyway and only my father would phone me on the line (plus 100 telesales people - which has now gone down to zero).
