Seems I can't get clarity for the Extraview installations.

Currently for my single SD PVR, I have a dual LNB, which has 4 cables coming down I think.

What would it be for the following?

HD + HD?
HD + SD PVR?
HD + 1110?

Recommended installation, not minimum installation.

Further, if you were to buy an HD PVR, would the installation package that comes with it cover it all?

Secondly,

Can the two decoders of various combinations be in seperate rooms?

It's makes no sense to have two HD PVR's in the same place, with two HD LCD's in seperate rooms.

What are the cable requirements for that?

Your current setup of a twin/dual LNB will only have 2 cables coming from the dish
Basically what you need to know is that each of those decoders needs:
HDPVR 4 LNBs
SDPVR 2 LNBs
1110 1 LNB

So if you want to add a HDPVR to your SDPVR you need 6 LNBs, to get that though you can use the existing 2 that you have & get a 2x6 multiswitch (this splits those 2 into the 6 needed)
The best & most reliable installation is to take out the multiswitch link but to do this you will need an octo LNB but would then have 6 cables (8 possible) coming from the dish

If you want to have decoders in separate rooms there are 2 things to remember:
1) The decoder obviously needs a LNB feed from the dish, some people find if easier to put up another dish on the other side of the house
2) You will need a cable to run between the 2 decoders for the heartbeat signal (required for Xtraview)

You can make do with a Dual LNB but then need a SatCR cable ........ and seeing as that's about as much as I know, head on over to here: http://forum.dstv.com/forumdisplay.php?f=28 and register and ask. Very helpful forum members ;)

A SatCR replaces a dual LNB, I did forget to mention it though

What that does is makes each of the decoders only require 1 cable, and it has 2 outputs so you could use that for any of the decoders
