Dear Mr.XX XXXXXX

Great news! We have enhanced our Telkom Internet with an Integrated Data service that will ensure you remain connected to the internet, even if your DSL is faulty. As a valued customer of Telkom, we are offering you the Integrated Data service for FREE!

What is the Telkom Integrated Data service?

With the Telkom Integrated Data service you will be able to access your Telkom Internet fixed data bundle from any mobile device, such as a WiFi router, Tablet or 3G USB modem, via a Telkom Internet SIM. This means that you will still be able to connect to the internet at home with your fixed Telkom Internet data when your DSL service is not working. You will also be able to use the Telkom Integrated Data service when you are on the move. Please note that your Telkom Internet SIM will only work on the Telkom 3G/LTE network. Click here to confirm 3G/LTE coverage.

If you subscribe to a SoftCap product, you will be able to access your fixed monthly Telkom Internet data bundle via your fixed line or any mobile device.*

If you subscribe to an Uncapped product, the following data amounts were allocated for use to your Telkom Internet SIM (dependent on your existing Uncapped bundle)*:

How does someone sign up for integrated data if they didn't get the email above

You cannot signup, Telkom do a check on a case by case basis [correct me if i am wrong] and two of the things are 1) New line being installed and 2) multiple fault reports open.

Forgot to reply earlier :).

As OP said, his line has been great so perhaps 2) will fall away but we don't know :).

Edit: Found a post in the thread about this but take note that it wasn't launched for the public.

The first customers who will get it are:
- Those with long-outstanding DSL bundle orders (e.g. those who have been waiting weeks for technicians to be dispatched to install)
- Those with a history of line quality problems

Those customers are being activated now, which is why some of the software changes *had* to roll out.

A launch open to other existing Telkom Internet customers will start in a few weeks.

I can't provide any more detail at this stage.

:)

Would be nice if they did pure wireless. They don't want to install ADSL for me due to cable theft

It would be nice :)

Can't you qualify for the Telkom uncapped LTE deal in Pretoria? I have a similar situation due to cable theft and am now going for the LTE 50+50 gig deal at R699 because my area is not covered for the uncapped deal. That would be ideal though. Damn cable thieves!!!

Have also heard of this from Telkom, but I don't currently need it, even if they offer it, since I'm using one of their deals that came with four Telkom Mobile sim cards with voice and data services.
