Intel C2D 6750 or AMD 6000+

Which of the Intel Core 2 Duo 6750 and AMD 6000+ is the best (most powerful/performs the best)?

Which of the above has the best performance in gaming and which one in other tasks - e.g. Photoshop, Office, E-mail/Internet etc.?

And which one performs the post overall on average (i.e. gaming and other tasks)?

C2D, in everything . Probably not exactly, but it's definitely the better chip.

Yup the c2d's currently outperform the amd chips in almost if not everything.And that 6750 is a very nice price performance chip btw.Especially if you OC,

*Forgot to add in my original post that I am not planning to overclock whichever processor I get - so overclocking aside, does the core 2 duo still win overall?

the only thing amd is better at is memory, but thats a minor detail and not that much of a difference

INTEL for the win but get the quad core man its not that much more

Yeah definitely, lose the 6750 and get the Q6600, ask me I went down the same route and all reviews point to the quad
BTW don't even consider the AMD's 4 now as their getting pwnd by Intel...
