Very cool box. Would take it myself if I wasn't trying to avoid active cooling. Would make an epic media center + NAS.

This may have active cooling, but it is the quietest PC I have. The new Coolermaster 92mm CPU cooler runs at low RPM, as does the PSU fan.

Of the three PCs in my office (Ryzen 5 2400G, FX-8800 and this) the Xeon is pretty near silent. Might get total silence with a 120mm fan PSU.

I spent a good couple of hours with the intel FRUSDR flash tool in the built in UEFI prompt tweaking the fan profile for the BCM. This machine runs BOINC 24/7 at 100% CPU usage and on top of that hosts a Xonotic game server that me and a couple of guys from the office and Europe game on at lunch times - no lag at all.

I'm no intel fan, but this is my favourite intel PC of all time.

if this is still available in May i will buy it for a retro 1995 - 2005 gaming PC.

@WAslayer gifted me a lekker fast old school laptop for this gaming but the graphics card inside is sluggish for the demanding games

Apart from the veeeeeeerrrrrryyyyyyyy long POST (because it's a server board) with the SSD this thing is snappy once it starts loading Windows and beyond. Despite it being SATA2/3gbps.

The cool thing of the long POST is the 4 diagnostics LEDs on the back of the box. I have yet to find a use for the dual LAN port. I suppose I could run it in bridge mode and free up a port on my router by plugging another device into it?

Kinda pretty sure I'll still have this in May because unlike some of the other builds on my channel I have grown way too attached to this machine. So I'd like to see it going to a place where it will be used for something worthwhile like a NAS or retro gaming PC.
