Added to this the CDC has stated that most new infections are infected through micro-droplets.

The US has recorded a one-day total of 34,700 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, the highest level since late April, when the number peaked at 36,400, according to Johns Hopkins University.

Dang.
I wonder what happened about 2 or so weeks ago that could've caused all this...

I do think the protests played a role, but it's not the sole reason for the increase.

Specifically said the protests have played a role, but the reasons for the increase in cases are multi-factorial.

Yeah kind of... but not really. "reopening entire states nationwide is far more risky than targeted protests in select cities. We wouldn’t see an impact of protests for another few wks."

Agree, unless there is a concerted testing program going on, you will not know what the impact is or was. You have to wait for people to get sick, and then find out what they have done recently to establish the cause-effect relationship.

Secretly however, quite a few of us hope that those lunatic demonstrators do get the bug -- we can do without the stupid who want to somehow destroy away history. They should rather see the symbols as reminders of the folly of the past, and let those that revere them continue to do so. That IS after all what democracy and tolerance is all about.

Covid getting closer to my remote town, Alexander Bay, just across the river from me at the local Army base got a case, first thing on the memo to the town., " Don't Panic", yep that's not how small remote mining towns operate, we go panic full blown.... Lucky for us the bridge connecting us was locked down about 100 days ago...

BUT in the rest of the country the countries have skyrocket (on our scale) since the government moved the lockdown levels..... it's gonna be a dogshow when the bug rocks up here...... :sneaky:

14 New cases in a single day,
90 our total, with no deaths yet........

The whole of Namibia population would fit comfortably in Johannesburg.

Yip here too, happening all over the WC. People from Cape Town decided it's a good time to have a vacation and now staff at supermarkets are testing positive and BOOM. No escape now.

Pisses me off so badly. Since the lockdown began I've been saying that they should just stop travel across municipal districts. Most places would not even have needed to take ANY other measures besides that one.
