Wait you mean you've turned? You've realised that maybe kids aren't the super carriers? Now we just the need the government to realise this.

It shouldn't be uncommon to change ones opinion when presented with new information. I do it all the time, it's an important part of understanding and learning.

That being said, I've never thought of kids as super spreaders, just as another transmission chain that's easy to supress.

This new information has shown me it's not nearly as big a factor as the orginal studies had shown but we'll only really find out as things open up properly.

This juts adds to the confusion around what 'lockdowns' are actually defined as, unfortunately.

Hong Kong shut schools, closed the borders, banned gatherings of more than 4 people (later raised to 8), slapped mandatory quarantine trackers on new arrivals, closed bars, restaurants and many shops. Enforced social distancing breaches through fines etc.

So not nearly as stringent as some other places, but the idea that they didn't do anything but have ample mask wearing is misleading.

I think these countries' experience with SARS in 2003 is critical. Taiwan responded very similarly.

Two U.S. research groups have reported finding nearly 300 cases of an alarming apparent side effect of Covid-19 in children, a condition called multisystem inflammation syndrome, or MIS-C. While researchers have previously reported on the condition, the papers mark the first attempt to measure how frequently the side effect occurs and how it affects children who develop it.

He suggested MIS-C occurs in two of every 100,000 people under the 21 years of age who contract SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes Covid-19. The infection rate in people under the age of 21 years was 322 in 100,000 over the course of the period studied.

Randolph said the average age of the children affected was about 8 years old. Research is underway to try to determine what the long-term consequences for children who develop MIS-C are, she said.

Interesting research showing lockdown orders in the US only caused about 12% of the massive drop in consumer activity the last few months. Fear of the virus did the rest.

A flu strain that is a combination of European, Asian, American bird flu as well as human and swine flu. Brought to you by the Chinese swine industry. How wonderful!

COVID: Season Two.

Airing December 2020.

"Picking up where last season's cliff hanger left us, Season Two answers the questions: 'will the human race survive?' , 'what does an economy mean, Mommy?' and importantly, 'what do cockroaches taste like?'. Tune in to find out what happened after the impoverished citizens of South Africa eventually ate their Cabinet. What next for the world's three remaining Chinese people? Can Leandra find love with Doug even if he owns a pig? All this and more, this December."

Crickets are nutty tasting, if you air fry roaches or grind them into a paste you could probably eat them.
