At some point you should all just agree to disagree and move on.

I'm happy to let the virus run it's course and we'll chat again in two years time. I'm just amazed that people assume the virus is stopped or contained because they are having less people coming forward for testing. I find it mind boggling.

I think I'm backing out of this thread now. Too much kak happening here. I think posters are nervous. But won't admit it.

Gonna rather fly around the world with Google. Costs me nothing. And is safe.

Interesting pictures thread. Yea :)

So we can get over two million deaths in the US alone? Yeah sounds like some high iq stuff.

Do us a favour and go and educate yourself on how diseases spread exponentially (as we are starting to see) if not controlled/slowed down. Then take into account the much higher kill rate of this coronavirus. If after this time you still can't work it out then I can't help you any further.
It only has higher CFR currently as the numbers are small. 200 000 is a tiny amount of people, you can't work out the mortality rate from this number properly.
Yet even that it's 200 000 in almost 4 months, there have been 370 000 hospitalisations in the US alone for the flu and that's with vaccines and the ability to fight some of it.
There were 140 000 measle deaths last year and we have the freaking vaccines for that, yet there were still 140 000 deaths.
I'm hoping that with this Corona scare people actually start realising how silly saying it's just the flu bro is and start being more hygienic than they've been, yet I doubt it.
Also hope it gets rid of that archaic shaking hands thing and lessens meetings.

I am nervous, not of the virus but all the other issues it's caused. I've had h1n1 and it was bad and it was during the pandemic of 2009 didn't have to be quarantined, they collected blood, saliva, urine and the phlegm. It's when you learn that it's just the flu bro is a stupid thing to say, when all you can do is manage the symptoms and they can be harsh, my chest felt like someone was sitting on it, my head pounded, then came the vomiting which was not fun while coughing, after a week of exhaustion and fatigue you'd think you can sleep but you cough yourself awake a lot.
The only thing that was worse was tick bite fever I got a few years later but it was only about 4 days of really bad symptoms.

tick bite fever

Had this 2/3 years ago. Hospitalised for 5 days. This is by far the worse illness I have ever had, second only to Mumps, and that I also had only a few years ago. I can only imagine what it would have been like if I wasn't vaccinated against it as a kid...

Bulka says Singapore stopped it /facepalm

iirc, it actually had it's biggest daily infection rate and that a day after they announced that they have decreased the infection rate to a negative :D

I wouldn't want that again, not in a million years, did you have the weird burning sensation on your skin?

They don't have to. No way they will halt the virus. But hey, good on you for believing they would :D

You mean good on me for following the studies and evidence, rather than the nonsense you post here.

Thanks, I thought so too.

Nope but developed a rash all over my body. The worse was the fever and the intense joint pain.
Yes the joints argh, I couldn't get comfortable no matter what I did. Though I think I got further infection cause I was pumped full of antibiotics, think that's probably what caused the burning skin feeling.

We'll check your "following" in a year or so. I am saving this for a laugh.

The fact that you have asymptomatic Covid-19 people will make this impossible to stop. Even more so if you only test on a "need to" bases.
