Wait just hold up a second, did they mention how fat were the critical patients in their 20s/30s in the states? Obesity is an underlying condition according to some experts

Half of South Africa is considered obese, I'd think it's only a factor if you are already having medical problems due to being obese.

For those that like stats, numbers and predictions.

I think I watched this last night, basically they are saying when a country reports it's 1st death it means around 1600 people are infected

True. With the rate these people think they'll be dying. I'll just have to walk to to the neighbor next door and take their supplies. I mean they'll be dead right? :D
I think we're both on their ignore lists now, so they won't see us coming.

OMG!!
Total deaths in the US (population 327 million) have surpassed a hundred!!
Actually, now that I think of it, I think I could fit a hundred people in my kitchen.
It would be a tight squeeze, but it could be done.
Are the 100 people in your kitchen dead or alive?

The point a lot people have missed is there's about 5 - 10% chance of the infection becoming severe and requiring hospitalization in anyone. If young people did not require hospital we would not shut down. We don't have an immunity, some people on here will be getting really sick unless drastic measures are taken.

Globally but should expect significantly higher hospitalisation needs in SA.

You need to adjust your figure up to 50%, we can be almost guaranteed that we have in the thousands of infections so far, just no symptoms. Also taking into account the local mentality of fear of death threats lots of people won't get tested or can't.
