AZ and probably everyone was getting the same.

I'll think about round 2 in 12 weeks time, for now I'm just looking forward to Monday and some socialising without having to worry
There will be shots next year as well, for the new variants, just like the flu sadly.

So far of all the reports I’ve seen people have had the AZ vaccine.

Except for me who got Pfizer...

Edit

Though I see the most vaccines delivered to the UK has been Pfizer.

I wonder if this is to get as many people done with AZ before the EU hitlers go ahead with freezing supply?

Either way, I'm in awe after seeing how fast while staying so professional they are.

Any side-effects yet like headache, or growing an extra arm?

Slight histamine reaction for about 20 mins and just super sleepy. Took paracetamol when I got home to offset potential headaches. I know I may feel kark tomorrow but so far so good .... Bill Gates certified

Wow you literally had to leave the country to get one. Yet here in SA the government is still smelling it's own rear-end.
My facebook post about it:

I had the AZ vaccine. Someone I know up north got Pfizer. I think it really comes down to what gets sent to that vaccination center that day.

The whole experience was actually fantastic. No queuing, just walk in, sanitise, temperature check, symptom screen, a bit of (online) paperwork, and then the injection. Took maybe 5 minutes, then they asked me to hang around in a waiting area for 15 minutes as I was alone and they wanted to be sure there was no bad reaction. My next dose is booked for 12 June.

A little tender on the arm this morning, but nothing worth speaking about really. Woke up with a headache and lethargy, sort of mild flu symptoms which was kinda expected. A couple of paracetamol tabs took care of that. I'm sure I'll be 100% tomorrow.

And by contrast, a scathing article about the state of Iowa written by WaPo back in Feb, titled
Welcome to Iowa: A state that just doesn’t care if you live or die.

Meanwhile in Iowa 6 weeks later.....

  • Nineteen people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in the past 24 hours in the UK. It's more evidence of a steady fall in deaths attributed to the virus.
  • More than 30m people in the UK have now received their first dose of a Covid vaccine, with Health Secretary Matt Hancock calling it "a phenomenal achievement".
