How many people suffer these clots every year anyway? And how many die? Some 79 people had suffered rare blood clots after vaccination by the end of March in the UK - 19 of whom had died.

A few, rare. Mostly in connection with side effects. How many people suffer these clots every year anyway? And how many die?

Blood clots, or venous thromboembolism (VTE), are a major risk to hospitalised patients. VTE leads to pain, swelling and potential death.
While the full scale of the problem is not known, it is estimated that hospital-associated VTE leads to about 40,000 deaths in England per year, 25,000 of which may be preventable through proper risk management and care.
I don't know who is the anti-vaxxer , but you talking about different blood clots, not the very rare CVST.
According to new modelling obtained by University College London (UCL), the percentage of inoculated people in Britain will hit the herd immunity threshold on April 12. A different study carried out by Imperial College this week indicated that only 34 percent of the population had achieved immunity by the end of March.
Professor Karl Friston, of UCL, told the Telegraph how the high rate of vaccination gave the percentage a boost.
He said: "The herd immunity estimates surprised me.
“However, they are unremarkable when one considers that over 50 percent of adults have been vaccinated, around 42 percent of people have now been exposed to the virus and about 10 percent have pre-existing immunity.
"When factoring in the estimated efficacy of vaccination in terms of sterilising immunity, this – according to the model – means about 70 percent of the population are immune.

If it's away for governments to realise that this is going to end up more like the flu in how we handle it. Then so be it.Once again, the hype now starts. As if the herd immunity is some sort of door through which a nation moves, after which no one will be infected.
Herd immunity is not another magical silver bullet. Infections will NOT stop happening when the herd immunity threshold is reached, just diminish, maybe become less severe, with fewer deaths.

Did you even read whats about?
Whoever said herd immunity equals no more infections?Once again, the hype now starts. As if the herd immunity is some sort of door through which a nation moves, after which no one will be infected.

I looked at it and found no relation to the CVST discussion whatsoever.Did you even read the link?
The issue is not what the science of herd immunity is. It is about what people perceive it means, and much worse, what government's interpret it to mean. And that is the current hype.Whoever said herd immunity equals no more infections?
What it implies is no more exponential Epidemic case numbers. Trust me our hospitals are very well equipped to deal with an endemic infection rate.

Wow, so under 30 is higher risk than benefit.View attachment 1048847

AstraZeneca jab ‘course correction’ could dent confidence outside UK
Analysis: Up to now people have been willing to take whatever vaccine was on offer, but that may changewww.theguardian.com
I found that governments can buy whatever they want, but the people prefer to wait and get the vaccine of their choice, me included.
curious that the EU is dragging its feet even as the most powerful EU nation wants to proceed ... tail wagging the dog?
