At this rate there will be more deaths from Covid in 2021 than there were in 2020. The 'first' waves have passed over Western countries, but are now hitting the larger and less developed ones (excluding China). Africa (other than SA) seems to be less affected so far. IMO this probably revolves around limited transportation links (India has a huge railway system).

Deaths in India seem to be underreported

As far as we know. China is not known for telling anyone what is really going on in their country.
Africa has a notoriously bad record regarding reasonably accurate reporting of cases and deaths etc.
At least the India rail network still works.

It looks like the UK will have virtually all adults vaccinated within months at the rate they're going.

Over 30s are set to be offered the Covid-19 vaccine in a matter of days, according to reports.

The NHS will start inviting those in their thirties for the jab by the end of next week after securing 40 million Pfizer doses for Britain.

Officials are close to finalising a deal to acquire tens of millions more doses of the vaccine in time for a third booster dose to be given to the elderly this autumn, the Sunday Times reports.

Except that India is barely scratching the surface of reporting new cases / deaths.

And of course chronic underreporting of deaths, this article says almost 1000 deaths were not reported in the first three weeks of April at just four crematoria.

The European Union says it has launched legal action against AstraZeneca over alleged breach of contract concerning delivery of its coronavirus vaccine.

"The European Commission has started last Friday legal action against the company AstraZeneca on the basis of breach of the advanced purchase agreement," said a spokesperson from the European Commission.

Your statistics suggest that it's business as usual in India i.e. Covid-19 is under control.
The news reports and videos of mass burnings of bodies in the open (due to crematoria failing to cope) suggest a Covid-19 crisis of massive proportions.
The reality on the ground suggests it is crisis of massive proportions momentarily due to peak and sudden pressure on resources within a constricted amount of time in a country with massive population.
His statistics suggests it is a non-event in Indian terms (however the numbers may be underreported).
Kind of like a big airplane falling out of the sky, killing all at once, as opposed to small little incidents continuously all over the place that nobody tends to notice, resulting in same numbers of casualties in the end.
Tragedy sells and Indian scale of things makes things seem bigger

India records, on average, some 28,000 deaths per day anyway. An extra 2500 sounds like the usual flu season spike.
