Still lots of white noise. Do you know that vaccination does not prevent infection?

*YES

*NO

*Choose ONE option
Of course they do not. Not always anyway. And that's exactly my point. Early they were meant to stop this pandemic in its tracks. Then, they were meant to stop transmissions. Now they are meant to lower hospitalizations.

All, while naturally acquired immunity is frowned upon and cases continue to be counted left right and centre, asymptomatic or not.

Nope, it isn't as black and white as that, despite you wanting it to be.

Of course it is, stop trying to be a little Eks.

After vaccination, can you catch covid? No matter if asymptomatic, mild or serious.

If you used half a brain, or would answer without trying to defend your stupid tweet you’d answer yes.

Significant finding from peer-reviewed research... "[For] adults up to age 60, being obese was associated with nearly ALL the risk that Covid would lead to intensive care or death. The findings held even after they adjusted for many different potential confounding factors, like smoking, non-weight-related illnesses, and wealth." https://www.thelancet.com/journals/landia/article/PIIS2213-8587(21)00089-9/fulltext
Looks like it follows a similar pattern to other causes. In other words almost all the additional risk is attributable to the obese category while "normal" and "overweight" are quite similar (in spite of what people want to believe and the constant messaging in the media).

Still going to wear my mask and keep my distance.
I'll keep my mask on, when I am on public transport. Maybe in a busy shop.

Curious to see what they do about self isolation, when you come into contact with someone with COVID.

Had to isolate last week. My kids school just got sent home because of a positive case, so despite far less danger, still very disruptive.

Bye bye social distancing in the UK, thanks to the efficacy of vaccines.

Stephen Powis, the National Medical Director for NHS England, said infections were currently rising but hospital rates were not increasing at the same rate as previous peaks and "things are looking very good".

He told BBC Breakfast the NHS was "well used to coping with pressures, we do it every year and every winter. So we are prepared. "
And suddenly, just like that, all is well with the NHS.

Now we wait for the clowns at SAGE to protest against these measures...flunkies who don't usually have such power will not give up without a fight!
The chairman of the British Medical Association, Dr Chaand Nagpaul, said it "makes no sense" to stop wearing face masks in enclosed public settings amid a rising number of cases of the Delta variant.

He told BBC Radio 4's Today programme "face masks are proven to reduce spread of this infection" and "we can't understand why we would knowingly want people to become infected".

Unions representing public transport and shop workers said their staff would face even more risk of infection if face mask rules are dropped.

Meanwhile, Ryanair said face masks would remain mandatory on its flight "in order to protect the health of our passengers and crew".

If I had to use public transport, yes, but otherwise no. It’s not for me to be going out of my way to safeguard the dumb morons who refuse to vaccinate.

I know my vaccination should keep me from getting seriously ill, so from a risk assessment I don’t think I need a mask now.

In one post you intimate that the vaccines are not effective in Israel and then say in another post that despite the efficacy of vaccines in the UK, people will still argue against the lifting of restrictions.

So which is it?

Err...I'm pro-vaccine in case you haven't noticed.

I was contesting Dave's point that they don't prevent transmission - as my numerous sources indicate, in some people, it does, while in others it does not. It's not a YES/NO question.

I wasn't talking about hospitalisations or deaths. FOCUS!

Not one of your links says that, my little ANC government sponsored genius.

“less likely”

“A smaller chance”

“protecting against severe infection”

The vaccine isn’t some form of armour that deflects everything, you can still contract covid but it will be a much less serious illness than for the unvaccinated.

What do you think this means?

A growing body of evidence indicates that people fully vaccinated with an mRNA vaccine (Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna) are less likely to have asymptomatic infection or to transmit SARS-CoV-2 to others

I got my vaccination earlier than other over 40's because of a heart condition, which is why I still won't trust the person next to me with my safety, so I'll keep wearing my mask. Sure, I possibly/maybe won't have to go to ICU if I contract it, but it's still not a chance I'm willing to take.
