Hmm kids aren't getting their normal bugs, also who would've thought overly sanitizing could be causing more harm.
The benefit of dying from RSV outweighs the risk of dying from Covid.

if bacterial and viral infections aren’t circulating among children, they don’t develop immunity, which leads to larger outbreaks down the line.

Or considering making quarantine facilities permanent:

Yeah that's a good idea... Instead of I don't know, vaccinate I mean it's 4 million people, they could be vaccinated in 6 months or less.

Apparently it is, lets not forget the psychological affects this is having on kids. This will be probably the biggest issue to pop up later.

The sheeple have been panicked.
Yup, so much for the vaccine and allowing things to open up, the Sheeple will believe that they will never live with this, even though unfortunately it is the only way.

As per my last post - ANYTHING to prevent covid deaths. Even if it results in dying of another illness.

Experts warned the UK government about the problem with mass testing. They even provided examples of why it produces badly skewed numbers when infections are not high enough, e.g. only 1% of the population.

Last year all cases and deaths were covid, zero flu.
This year, covid is down, flu is up significantly (243 deaths per day on June within that one week).
Distancing, masks and restricristions are still there.
The only difference is vaccines (not saying they haven't suppressed any covid deaths).

What is your opinion on the insurgence of flu deaths again? Especially since they are 2.2% above 5 year average??

No idea and I'm not going to even pretend to know but what I can say is they're not just going to mistake covid for the flu, or do you believe they are fudging the numbers?

Interesting read. "We" also had a RSV spike last year, will be interesting to see what happens when we back to level 1

Pity, you often seem to have an idea about everything else.

No I don't think they are intentionally fudging the numbers. I just find interesting that the minute covid deaths are down, thanks to vaccines, flu deaths shoot up (restrictions or not).

Plus the fact that 243 flu deaths per day in the middle of summer does not seem to worry anybody that much.

I wonder how much it is costing the UK government every day as I believe the lateral flow tests are currently free. I think the UK currently tests the highest number of people day now, even above the US.
Yup just ordered a pack of 7 for delivery tomorrow. All free.

We're seeing quite a few people over the next few weeks, so doesn't hurt to be safe.

Malta has said it will be the first European country to close its borders to anyone who has not been fully vaccinated against coronavirus, following a spike in COVID-19 cases.

Only those in possession of a British or European vaccination certificate will be allowed in from July 14, health minister Chris Fearne said on Friday – suggesting tourists from the United States and other locations will be barred.
