Yes some thoughts:
Where did you get delta is more virulent? I see a general decrease in case fatality as the waves progress.
What about the example of Italy?
Ok so took a quick look at Italy.
Similar trends to some other European countries, eg France and Sweden.
Argentina showed a similar trend also.
Took a look at China too, but their figures cannot be accurate.

The individual, who can then be treated as a full member of society again…

It should be the other way round, if you've been vaccinated but haven't had covid you and your waning immunity should be locked up at home

Ok Chuck so having had a look at Italy and if you had a choice would you choose the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th wave to be infected?

Yes my hypothesis were shot to bits there.

Although we shouldn't see a 4th wave then?

Austria is considering a Covid-19 lockdown that would only restrict unvaccinated people as virus cases continue to rise.

Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg announced the news late on Friday during a meeting with state-level leaders to discuss a national response to increasing infection numbers.

'The pandemic is not yet in the rearview mirror,' Schallenberg said. 'We are about to stumble into a pandemic of the unvaccinated.'

Schallenberg announced that if the number of Covid patients in intensive-care units reaches 500, or 25 percent of the country's total ICU capacity, entrance into businesses such as restaurants and hotels will be limited to those who are vaccinated or recovered from the virus.

If the number reaches 600, or one-third of total ICU capacity, the government plans to impose restrictions on unvaccinated people. In this case, they would only be allowed to leave their homes for specific reasons.

Yeah see thats answering...but not answering...

Where's the heavy handedness that a large chunk of the population are being affected and discriminated against?
Or is your issue with a place that actually enforces things (quite a few countries have similar in fact) compared to South Africa?

Once again - strict enforcement that only impedes the few unvaccinated is not a gigantic disaster for human rights and liberties
As some may know, I come from what originally was a communist country turned democratic. And believe me that your question in bold above could just as easily have been asked there.

You see, just because the majority of people comply (for whatever reason - in this case to keep the job, able to travel, peer pressure etc) does not mean the majority are WILLING participants.

No loss it's always good to think out the box.
Let's hope that because of viral evolution or natural immunity or vaccine rate or a combination of all the above the 4th wave is a mere ripple.
If the 4th wave is a mere ripple, it will be almost impossible to attribute to any one reason.
But I am prepared to bet every single camp on myBB will try and claim the brownie points.

Or 99% survive both the virus and/or the vaccine, have antibodies, are as well protected as possible and we all get on with our lives despite the chicken littles and the nazis.

Yeah. Or the anti vaxxers all survive and a new society emerges where everyone wants for nothing and has a big fancy house with a swimming pool and 3 big boobed ladies pandering to their every whim.

This game’s fun :)

Unvaxxed are all murdered by the double vaxxers, the boosted will eat the double vaxxers, giving them even moar boost, dolphins then rise up and enslave the boosted who are now immune to the lab mice infections making them the perfect army to take down the shadow nwo mice world rulers. Upon victory, the dolphins feed the boosted to the fishes to rehabilitate the oceans. Dolphin utopia lives on until the sun expands and dies.

I guess we're going the same route as the flu vaccine now. Though, calling it a "flu" vaccine doesn't really help much, because the assumption is that you're totally protected against the "flu", but you're not, because there are around 200 variants of Influenza Type A (not including Type B, C or D). The shot given out each year is to protect you against the 4 deadliest A, B, C and D variants for that season alone (usually the ones in the news that are killing people).

So, understanding that the original COVID vaccines where designed in a hurry to protect us against the original strains, needing a booster for the new variants going forward makes complete sense. Just wondering whether or not they'll be able to do a 2-for-1 with the flu shot eventually?
