Without examining the details, I have not heard of any combined versions of Covid, or any other type of coronavirus. It's just not the kind of virus that does that, and all lineages so far have developed totally independently.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

A scientist in Cyprus has defended his assertion that a new strain of Covid-19 exists that combines characteristics of the Delta and Omicron variants.

For those that haven't heard "Deltacron" with mutations from combined delta and omicron might have surfaced. Some claims of contamination,some not. We'll probably see more news of this if it turns out to be an actual variant

I already got my booster dose,but I do consider any sides when reviewing news and or studies. Don't blindly pick a side and stubbornly sod ahead looking for holes in the evidence like the covidiot

People with high levels of T cells from common colds are less likely to catch COVID, according to a new peer-reviewed study.

Researchers said the findings could help provide the blueprint for the production of new vaccines which give longer-lasting immunity and would protect against current and future coronavirus variants such as Omicron and Delta.

Imperial College London researchers say the high levels of T cells and the role in fighting COVID is an "important discovery" - but warned "no one should rely on this alone" and insisted people should still get vaccinated as the "best way" to protect against COVID.

T cells are a type of white blood cell that help protect the body from infection.

Professor Ajit Lalvani, senior author of the study, agreed vaccines were key to protection.

He added: "Learning from what the body does right could help inform the design of new vaccines."

Current vaccines specifically target spike proteins that sit on the outside of the virus, but those spike proteins can change with new variants.

But the body's T-cells target internal virus proteins, which do not change as much from variant to variant, meaning vaccines harnessing the work of T-cells more closely could provide broader, longer-lasting protection against Covid, he said.

If you read both they're essentially stating the same thing but one is way more scientific and the other is more optimistic. Your immune response will always be the sum of its previous exposure. It's not a narrative - it's discussion.

It would have been helpful to hear more about this supposed research and how the studies were designed since it’s not easy to find such “pee-reviewed” studies in the scientific literature. For example, a PubMed search for “urine therapy” and “Covid-19” today returned zero results, which is exactly the same number of results that you get when you search for “I am a gigantic egg carton.”
