To be picky - how can there be intermittent connectivity problems if the line is down.

intermittent [intəˈmitənt] adjective

happening occasionally; stopping for a while and then starting again.

It should state surely - All customers will have no connectivity ?

Vodacom is fine.. yay :D Using my HSPDA bundle nowz

Well daveza, you still have access to local so ya that will be their excuse for it.

Where do we complain!! How the hell are we suppose to run a business! Anybody know where we can complain direct to telkom and get something done about this. ALSO I WANT A REFUND!!

Just input this under your browser's proxy configuration:

HTTP Proxy: 220.232.234.174 Port 80
220.232.234.174:80

You can use global proxies too if you'd need MSN, IRC etc.

I googled a list of free proxy servers and they all work well. My only problem is that... how safe is it to use it?
Also, the downside to using a proxy server is that it might be dangerous to access sites where you have to login... since your username/password goes through the proxy server too and who knows what they do with it? If the proxy server owner is dodgy, maybe they keep that login info if they want to..? :)

Well I've been using proxies since I started using the internet daily two years ago. I never had any such incident. Why would the owner want some random guy's forum or mail password? There's no reason.

Just make sure not to do banking.

That fact that you've been using proxies for 2 years doesn't prove it's safe,it just means you've been using proxies for 2 years. :)
Why would an owner want a username/password? To collect email addresses and spam you into oblivion?

You insist proxies are safe and then you suggest not to do banking using a proxy server! Nice one! :)

I'm just saying that as long as you use a proxy server, there is always a chance that the proxy owner might record/collect personal login information about you. Whether he can use that info is actually irrelevant, it's a matter of invasion of privacy.
I also use proxy servers as well from time to time but I just think people should be aware of it's possible downside.

Fair enough. I don't think if you get it from the right sites i.e proxy4free.com you get a list of spammers. I don't ever receive a single spam mail. However it is true that it could be used for that. If you're really paranoid get paid proxies or set up your own using Linux and Squid ;)
