Ramaphosa puts Internet censorship law into operation

President Cyril Ramaphosa and communications minister Khumbudzo Nthsavheni have proclaimed that a law granting sweeping censorship powers to the Film and Publications Board came into effect today, 1 March 2022.

Media and civil society only learned that this had happened on the day the law came into effect because the FPB invited the press to attend a media briefing about it on 3 March.

So basically a way to force all international content platforms to have to pay the local authorities a fee to make it "approved". Because let's be honest, no YouTuber or "content creator" is going to reach out to the FPB for approval.

Is that it or did I miss something?

Send it out "for public comments" but then still do what the **** they want.
Democracy my ass.

Lol.... what 'democracy'? South Africa is no democracy nor has it been one. The government is full-blown communist, but hide behind 'democracy' in case they need to call on help from the world one day. Besides, in recent times there are absolutely no difference between democracy, socialism and communism. They are all one and the same thing. All these governments use democracy to win an election, then start a socialist government rule and when all comes collapsing down on them after running out of other people's money they shift to a communist government and silence the country by force.

Don't see anything wrong with this. About time somebody does something about all the objectionable content on the internet.

This post has been approved in terms of the 2022 Film and Publication Board act. and carriers an age restriction of PG13 due to moderate levels of bad grammar and sarcasm.

Good Luck... and thanks for all the pr0n fish.

I only have 1 question: Is my premium, ultra platinum "**** hub" subscription in jeopardy?
