i have been experiencing the same problem since yesterday! i phoned the guys at 155 up and explained the situation, they said they had fiddled with the Vlive somewhere and did not know if that had effected me, i am still waiting for them to get back to me to fix the problem... the phone connects fine, but it seems to me that the vodacom server blocks the connection. i tried using another Vodacom sim in my phone and it works fine. so to me it seems that the firewall is blocking my sim card for some reason.this has happened to me all along the south coast from port shepstone to port edward. it is very disconcerting. i hope they fix the problem soon.
