Intruders and a CO2 pistol

So a lot of dodgy characters come into my yard, knocking on the door and asking for water. I usually immediately tell them they're trespassing and chase them out, but now and again when we're not at home things go missing out the yard. This morning, for example, I discovered my braai has been stolen. Needless to say, I'm gatvol.

Now my plan of action is to install proximity sensors. Nothing attached to a loud alarm or anything, just something that makes a pleasant "ding dong" whenever someone comes into the yard. What I'm planning on doing next is to unload a .177 cartridge into the ****head that ignores the "do not enter my yard" sign and strolls in anyway. From a window, the gate, whatever.

How much *** can I get into for doing this?

Lets say you're a good shot and actually hit him and take out his eye, while the neighbours call the cops. I can only imagine you'll go on trial just to start off your whirlwind tour of the *****storm you want to ride.

Why stop at at a CO2 pistol might as well use a 9mm, 6 years according to the Oscar trial you should be out in 3. It's worth me thinks. You'll probably get more jail time using the CO2 pistol

And when you draw your lookalike and point it at him, he has the right to draw his real firearm and start shooting

When it comes to CO2 pistols, you dont need a licence to own one of coarse, but the same law applies in terms of using it i.e. the same law will be applied as though its a normal gun

Members of SAGA and gunsite.co.za read these posts. PLEASE don't embarrass all of us again by asking advise about defending your property with a toy. For the love of christ and all that's holy - get a licence and a real gun. Or go to karate lessons. Your family will be much more vulnerable at home alone while bubba enjoys your silky smooth colon in jail while you serve your time for assault.

A co2 pistol is what we use in Airsoft really does absolutely nothing but make a noise. if you want a less than lethal approach however buy a cheapy paintball gun and pepperballs.

Ag nee v 0 k...! A paintball marker is NOT even remotely adequate self defense. This has been discussed ad nauseam. If the aim is to irritate the intruder - rather play an Adele CD.

If you ever draw a gun on someone.

1. Be prepared to use it
2. Make sure its a real gun

Anybody who sees whatever gun pointed at them, may or may not shoot back regardless of what u were firing at them

He said it wasn't for self defence

So what does one do when an aggressive intruder enters your property? Call the cops and hide? run away?

If said intruder was about to attack you with a weapon, are you then entitled to shoot him? as long as he doesnt have his back to you?
