Apologies for my ignorance on this question. Is this device plugged in to your laptop or tablet and used specifically for drawing. Do you load apps on the pad or on your device, my daughter wants an iPad specifically to use ProCreate but I am stalling due to the cost of the iPad.

Yeah plugs into a computer. I used it with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop and works very well, I even managed to use for my video work.
