I bought a Sunsynk 5kw and LBSA 5kw wall mount battery and am busy getting some quotes for installation.

I have very limited options where to install and basically have decided it’s best to install on the front stoep. So I need a cabinet and thought rather than buying one of these industrial looking things I’d get one made so it doesn’t look too bad in the corner of the stoep.

Other than ventilation, does anyone know of any regulations or considerations if I go this route wrt fire prevention etc?

Other than that, has anyone else installed outside and used a cabinet that they can recommend in case a home made one is not practical or safe?

I think you have to make sure your inverter and battery are compliant with the requirements of being installed outside, for warranty purposes, other than that I don't think there is anything that applies to the outside installation that wouldn't apply when it's installed inside.

Thanks. I’ll check that out.
