Let me ask the question again.

What would've been the reaction, if this was a white teacher saying this about coloureds or black people?

There would've been thousands of protesters at the school already, tyers burning and infrastructure being damaged, while struggle songs are being chanted.

The SAHRC would've had a team ready at the school as soon as it opened.
Black celebrities would've tweeted and facebooked how horrible white people are.
Lesufi would've requested an emergency media gathering to condemn the horrible racism that took place and how horribly traumatized the children and their parents are over the incident.
It would've been all over the news and on the front pages of newspapers.

But, because no white person is involved, all is well and good, and the community will allow the investigation to be completed, if they even care about that...

Some examples:

When I was in Matric (this was during high lockdown), in my friend's class, they took some sanitizer, sprayed one of the tables and lit it on fire. They struggled to get it out, but they did. Did it in multiple classes.
When I was in Gr 10, the Matrics of that year put condoms in the bathrooms, and people blew them up, filled them with water and used them as water balloons. Someone even put one on my water bottle (luckily an Aquelle bottle you buy in the shop), and I left it at school...

Back in the day you used to get jacks for misbehaviour or completely expelled. Life was so peaceful back then.

More crazy **** happened, but I forgot a lot, lol.

But yeah, a lot of times detention is perhaps given, but then some of the "successfully prosecuted" would just simply not go (most would).

The "craziest" things they did at my school for 40 days was put cellophane all over the toilets and some doorways and we were allowed to "accessorize" our school uniform i.e you could wear colourful headbands/wristbands or socks but that was about it. That was in '09.

It is the truth though. I get where he is coming from. The same energy needs to be shown here. PS: I am a person of colour. This is no different to white racism.

Majority of cases of abuse like this never get reported so my guess is...anything, depending on area.

If they followed every case, they wouldn't even have time to occupy themselves with the mundane stuff.

Black celebrities tweet about a lot of stuff, that wouldn't be new.

You know what?, I'm just gonna say it... The teachers of today, not all, but a helluva lot, are absolute trash.

And this is based on first hand experience and observation. It's like anyone can become a teacher these days, there is no bar or minimum standard.

You get rash everywhere in life. One of my friends wife is a teacher, if you much effort she puts in and how much of her own money she spends on her kids you'd be horrified. This is a person that budgets some of her own money every month purely to spend on her kids as she is at an underprivileged school.

Still it seems to not be enough for some parents. She even takes time out after school to go look for a kid that she hasn't seen if he/she/it hasn't been at school for a few days.

There's still many like that out there. And then you get scum like this.

Wow... Reading the article, (without having seen the video) my first though was, "This has to be a black teacher or else the EFF would have been protesting at this school a loooooong time ago..."
Googled it and I was right...
Can you imagine the uproar if a white teacher said this to a black/ colored parent?
Why should it be treated differently? Shouldn't the outcry be the same regardless of the color?
This teacher should face the same punishment as the white racists who's rants were caught on camera, nothing more, nothing less... But I am afraid this racist teacher will get a slap on the wrist only...
