I guess if you live there permanently, you get a bit fed up with the almost constant presence of tourists/holidaygoers ?

i stay in bantry bay, i have a property on beach rd in sea point that is let out - so i am constantly in the area.
the tourists flock to camps bay - so that does get clogged up.
otherwise, they are not noticeable - except from early dec to january, then traffic is heavy around 7pm when they extract their glowing pink sunburnt bodies from the sand & migrate back to their hotels to prepare for a night of attempting to land a nubile capetonian for some night time nookie (and the mandatory trophy photograph to take home)

then from mid jan to mid feb, the international holiday makers arrive en-masse. it's at that time the roles are reversed & capetonians are plotting & planning means to snare exotic overly wealthy europeans.
