Just a quick question.

If you invite a friend/family over to your house for dinner or braai or tea or whatever. And its the first time you have invited them. Then they come over and you have a great time. Do you wait for them to reciprocate or do you invite them again.

What rules do you follow?

Remember the context is Cape Town ;)

Some people I'll just invite again and again because I don't care for going to their place anyway for various reasons.

It's on a case by case basis really.

Really?

Question does not compute...

If you had fun, invite them over again, if not then don't... what they do is up to them.

I have people I know who's house i never go to.. I don't enjoy myself there, but at my house we all have a blast.

Cape Town has its own set of rules, many of which are still a mystery to me.

If you invited people over and they had fun... do it again. Don't have expectations about them inviting you over, could be that their home situation is different and they can't have people over as easily.

OP reminds me of Gatsby's social ineptness. Sincere but incredibly naive all at once.
