Damn, that's bad. If it's the first gen, then perhaps, yes. I have only used the 2nd gen ones and they're super fast and smooth.

My experience with the Nexus 7 (original, 32GB IIRC) was similar. And that wasn't the only problem I had. The screen was pretty awful, there were many bugs in the OS (Mail app in particular). Hopeless joke. I returned it and bought an iPad Mini (original).

I'm liking the Previews & Bundles of the App Store & the search functionality is better.

Turns out two of my most heavily used apps are not iOS8 ready, so I guess I'll have to wait for a while because I can experience the new goodness.

Anyone have it on an original iPad Mini? I still have mine, although it's packed up and cleaned up to be sold, so I'm not sure I want to mess about with it, especially if I'm not sure I can roll it back.

EDIT s/iPad/iPad Mini/

I think iOS6 was the last one that worked on the original ipad.

Which 2?

My 2: Splashtop crashes for me and Teamviewer reverts to default settings whenever the app is closed.

iOS 8 behaves quite differently for me on an iPad 3 and Air...

Sucks big time. Slow wifi. Can't even get safari to load a page. Whatsapp sucks and doesn't send media.

Going to downgrade tomorrow

So far the only app that I came across that does not work/crash on iOS8 is iDownloader.

5s seems snappier. Is this a new font but text seems smaller and a little more "modern".

Safari video playback is not working properly. The dark grey buffer indicator doesn't progress, rather the entire line is greyed out as if it has fully loaded and when it does buffer the video pauses and the seconds keep going forward and then jump backwards after a few seconds... Sometimes there is a gap above the address bar that I can see the main screen scroll past. Scrolling has lagged a few times using the Facebook app and it doesn't rectify itself. I had to restart the app every time it happened.
