My 4S now looks prettier :erm: but my notifications seem whacked. Battery still barely lasts a day. Whatsapp also seems a little iffy. Oh well... R2k phone, what did I expect :D

Well earlier today my iPhone 6 randomly rebooted :)

General performance and stability needs improvement. I'm sure a lot will be addressed in 8.0.1

Oh right, when you said "so buggy" I thought there were more issues! Odd as I haven't had any general stability issues at all on the public release. Even on the beta's I had no issues. So that's interesting to hear.

Hello all - anyone updated to iOS 8 on an iPad Mini 1? Wife has one - but don't want to if it's lagging... Although since I'm already doing her iPhone 5 - will probably make sense to so the same on the Mini?

iOS 8.0.1 just been released...

See here

Already done - about +/- 80mb OTA.

See MacRumors already reporting the update is apparently interfering with Cellular - with users reporting "No Service"... Since that happened to me yesterday, on iOS 8.0 - don't think there's much to it... Use it/Don't use it.

Test iPhone 5c on Vodacom has "No Service" - rebooted a few times and even swopped out SIM. Reluctantly applied OTA update on iPhone 5s (CellC) and no issue. Will now attempt a downgrade on the 5c.

Perhaps it the old common error with which you need to disable 3G and enable it again until it works

Can you disable 3G on the iPhone 5C (VC) and enable it again, do it like 3-5 times with small waiting periods in-between, perhaps it will work?

I had this issue on iOS 7, disappeared with 7.1... Note that the above is a temporary attempt at resolving the issue, which is bad in any case.

Think so. I simply restarted, and it went away.

I have the idea that the error is in a layer when doing the OTA update which never resolves, leaving you with a broken layer (which may be within the Firmware).

Upgraded my iPhone 6 to iOS 8.0.1 also have the "No Service" bug. Going to restore back to 8.0. Terrible update. Also my fingerprint scanner also stopped working.

I think they pulled the update, it was available earlier and now my iOS 8.0 is up to date.

Wow - I guess one shouldn't be surprised (given that others are also experiencing problems with TouchID - as per MacRumours) - but so weird that it only happens to some? I haven't had a moment's problem!

Sincere question - why would X amount of 5S/5C/6 etc. owners have problems, as opposed to the Y amount who don't? Surely the hardware/iOS is the same - so where would the distinction between the lucky, and unlucky, be?
