Signed up, though I'm a bit weary of giving out my real phone number, I need to be convinced this is for real first, after which I'll PM you :)

CISCO systems, a US multinational technology company, is set to introduce a free online course, focusing specifically on the "Internet of Everything (IoE)", which it hopes will help address the unemployment crisis in SA.

The course is aimed at equipping students with specific information and communications technology (ICT) skills that will be in increasing demand in Africa in the near future.

The company said this week that in order to address the unemployment problem, SA will need to rethink its centres of economic growth, which have traditionally been the mining, manufacturing and trade sectors.

According to Alfie Hamid, regional manager for corporate affairs at Cisco systems, the company set about introducing the course with the aim of upskilling the South African ICT workforce, "resulting in respectable expert masters in networking".

"In a world driven by technology, adaptation is key and redefining the job market is an imperative," said Mr Hamid.

Alfie Hamid -- from Network Academy training manager to regional manager a step up the corporate ladder
Maybe MyBB should run a profile on him ?
A little advice re: IoT -- SORT OUT FTTH FIRST !!!!
