IOT is about internet connectivity where all devices/things no matter how small or unexpected will be connected to the internet. Think about a belt connected to the internet that measures your steps, waist size, etc. or your shoes or pen etc etc.
Its a new buzz word like the cloud used to be and a lot of people are trying to ride the buzz and associate anything and everything with it.
I see thanks,i thought it was a 2nd income somehow :p

It's a lot more than that, it's about sensors and other 'things' communicating with each other and responding to each other, over the internet, without any human intervention. For example, imagine if traffic lights were all connected via the internet and also to mobile phones with GPS so they could change according to current traffic conditions. If you're driving late at night and the roads are quiet you will always have green lights because the system is aware of you (from your phone) and other drivers. When the roads are busy it could use algorithms to change lights as to ease congestion and facilitate flow. All without human intervention.
Or imagine your fridge is connected to the internet. You go to a shop, your phone senses your coordinates and sends a message to your fridge to say you are at a particular shop. Your fridge does a quick stock take, checks what items you usually buy at that particular shop, checks if you need anything, sends a message back to your phone which automatically updates your shopping list and notifies you of what's needed. Again, all without human intervention. Or a simple thing like a light sensor at your house which senses when the sun goes down and automatically closes your curtains and switches on some lights. This could be done internally but could also be done over the internet which opens new possibilities. When it senses you are almost home (based a notification from your phones GPS) it starts the coffee machine so you have coffee ready when you walk through the door. Or a sensor on your bed that senses when you are waking up and turns on the hot water, senses when you're in the shower and turns on the coffee machine. All without human intervention.

You can easily setup IoT stuff already for yourself using IFTTT and various sensors

Unfortunately I don't have uncapped internet so streaming is out of the question. Is there any other way we can view it? Like a YouTube channel or if you can get it uploaded to the site. I'd prefer downloading and then taking it home to watch.
