Hi All,

New to iBurst ..... wondering how often iBurst/WBS cycles your IP addr. My router has now held the same login session/IP for 52 hrs ( 2.2 days). When can I expect my session to be bounced?

I've been quite lucky when it comes to connection times ... normally up for 7 days, after which I manually disconnect/reconnect to be able to get an updated Bandwidth report ...

And do you keep the same IP address in Status --> Details of the connection properties? I take the one to use is the client IP address.

client ip is your IP address yes, but it changes when you connect unless you pay for a static IP

you probably wouldnt use it at all, but your software will. every time you connect to a computer on the internet, whether to request a web page or transfer a file they need to know where you are in cyberspace so they know where to send the data, your IP address is basically your address in cyberspace.

All it is, is a unique number assigned to each computer connected to the internet, you probably won't do anything with it by hand unless you need to set up web serving software on your PC or stuff like that
