IP Capped??

A weird thing happened a few min ago as I decided to disconnect the router to change the IP, and with a different IP 196.46.70.68 I tried to download a few files.
For some reason they came down at capped speeds of 8kbps so I paused the downloads and disconnected again. Reconnected with a new IP and speeds shot right up to between 1.1mbps and 1.3mbps.

I then downloaded a few more +_10mb files and it was still fast.

There seems to be certain IPs that do not give full speed, which does not make sense unless they were restricted in some way.

Has anyone else noticed this problem lately?

So Mr. iBurst since you are posting and reading this forum, how about trying to explain the above??

MrH,

Yes, quite a few of us have noticed this in the past ... when you get a 'bad' IP, disconnect and reconnect, you might be lucky enough to get a normal IP afterwards. Slim also had a very interesting theory around this (I think in conjunction with Kei if memory serves me right)

Maybe he only posts here now and then, BUT I want him to reply to what I said above.

Answers, we all want answers as to what is going on, and as to how wbs are running a company that is taking our hard earned cash for a service that seems to have headaches in different departments every month.

COMEON Mr iBurst lets hear what you have to say about the subject!!!!
