Hey, I am trying to connect to a server on the 66.x.x.x range (66.252.28.151) - its an IRC server, yet I am unable to do so. According to the Shell Account company it is because that range is blocked by my ISP.

I have found that only people on the 41.x.x.x range can't access it.

artemis.nat-irc.org if you are curious whether it will work for you.

So can someone give me a clue? What's the deal? Do Telscum block IP ranges?

No it works

Hey, that IP range is not blocked and I connected to the IRC server successfully from a 41.x.x.x IP range.

Check your firewall.

Thanks :)
I can't connect even with my firewall disabled. And now it turns out all the guys who had issues connecting are able to. That is, everyone except me :(

This is what I get:
[20:11:23] * Connecting to artemis.nat-irc.org (6667)
-
[20:11:44] * Unable to connect to server (Network is unreachable)

First thing I would do is do a DNS lookup and see what IP is returned.
artemis.nat-irc.org => 66.252.28.151

Try connecting to that IP directly instead of getting your IRC client to do DNS lookups and see what happens.
If it connects then it's most likely a DNS issue somewhere.
