How does the 2GB of data pm work with the WiFi only iPad2? Do they give you a WiFi router as well?

Bloody good question LOL, perhaps you can plug in a usb dongle and use it that way.

OMG that is making me seriously consider getting one but i know i will use it for two days and then it will become yet another useless thing i buy.

Psst . . . read the fine print. ;)

Of course those of us who don't have access to an iStore? Are we as left out in the cold as with 8ta's iPad data special?

But maybe the three most important questions are :

1. Can those accounts be hardcapped,
2. and what is the OOB rate/tariff?
3. And how do you monitor your bandwidth usage on the iPad itself?

Yip you get a wireless Huawai router. I have set up one for my users, pretty nifty. You can either plug it in your laptop as a normal 3G card or just use it as a wireless router.

Can't remember the model, but it almost look like the e220, but a little wider.

You can keep it in your pocket while you're on the move, but it all depends if you want save R10 and have an extra thing to worry about or pay the R10 more for the built in 3G.

Personal preference I presume.

This is just an IPad linked to the MTN 2GB R149pm special
If that is the case then:
1. As per MTN deal, I have a 2GB topup with MTN so I assume you could do the same here
2 Same as MTN 2GB R149 special I assume ie 0.19/Mb
3 iPad do monitor it via its own settings

This is actually an overrated gadget. It does not want to bluetooth with anything except another apple product.
Very handy though for quick and fast internet on the go.

Never, ever assume anything, especially with our beloved cellphone operators!

Now we just need a better iPhone deal!
I have never seen iPhones on special promo deals like this. And it is unlikely that you will ever see it. There is always such a high demand for iPhones that it will rarely, if ever be necessary to promote it via special offers.

and options are also available to upgrade the 2GB contract to MTN’s unlimited offering.
And the price on the unlimited data offering?
