Keeping my Air 2 64GB LTE :)

I wish the Pro 9.7 had 4GB RAM, no point in leaving my Air 2 for it at this point.

Many peeps gave said thing about the Air 2 vs 9.7 Pro...should be 4gb for a "Pro" devices.

Downclocked CPU not an issue imo

Yep, that would have been the major upgrade here. The iPad Air 2 although over a year old now still performs incredibly well, has the same 2GB RAM as the Pro 9.7 as is exactly the same size and weight as Pro 9.7. The only benefits with 9.7 Pro are mostly small, the only major gain is the A9X.

Indeed.

Overall, it will be a great iPad, especially for those who did not get the Air 2. Many of us seem to keep these things for long periods. I had my iPad 4 from 2012 up until early this year, there still seems to be many iPad 2 and 3 owners as well and finally the iPad Air 1 owners.

^ I have to fully agree.

I would personally say if one has a A7 equipped iPad (Air 1 or Mini 2) onwards the reason for upgrading for increased performance alone is marginal.

The A7-running devices still run the OS excellent

Exactly.

These things are good to go for quite a few years with great support. :)

Its the case with most Apple devices. I still have my ipad3 and Im quite happy with it. My wife upgraded from the ipad2 to the Air 1 and she will be happy with it for quite a while still.

I must say, after many IOS phones and iPads, I think Apple has lost the plot since Steve has gone. Their hardware is good, but iOS sucks.

I have moved over to Android. My favourite tablet is currently the latest Samsung TAB S2 8.0. It is very similar in spec and size as the latest iPad mini.....but just way better. Only thing is, it's not available in this country - I got mine in Dubai. However, their larger TAB S2 9.7 is available here.

I would go back to Apple devices if they seriously improve iOS. But it is just lacking right now, and fallen way behind Android.

I personally find iOS 9.3 to be one of the best operating systems I've seen on a smartphone. No lag and everything works.

I'm not a fanboy by any means... I change between all of them all the time. Android is great but I find iOS to be more polished. I also feel that Android on tablets doesn't feel like it's been optimized properly.

I would happily get another android phone but I'll not get an android tablet anytime soon :)

I am unable to find smart cases for these ones yet, but I assume you can use the same screen protector that fits an iPad Air?

The Samsung S2 8 and 9.7 look like nice devices, very tempted to change to one from my ipad 3 but those devices will stay on 5.1.1.
From reviews the pricing is good but longevity is just not there.

I played with one the other day and I don't think it's the same size as my Air 2

Think I will wait for the 2nd iteration of this product. Why the big one.. Simple, occasionally I use Duet make my air turn into a 2nd mobile screen.. Imagine the awesomeness with one teh same size as my MacBook Pro 13'
