Hello

Is anyone using IPCOP with Telkom ADSL. I need help.
Trying to set it up but have a couple of hurdles. Anyone that can help?

I have instaled IPCOP on one of my old machines and have put three network cards. The instalation is all fine and the network cards are all recognised. I am wanting to use this IPCOP offering free Wireless Connectin to all my clients to access the internet

I have an D-LINK DSL-300T ADSL modem that is my access to the internet and have given it 192.168.8.1 as the IP address. The conection type is a PPOE connection. This is plugged into my IPCOP firewall in the RED sector.
I have enabled the DHCP server to give out IP addresses from 192.168.8.2 until 192.168.8.5. I have also tried to put my DSL modem in bridge mode and did the settings in the IPCOP setp itself

I have also plugged in a Router on my Green network and have given this router an IP address of 192.168.1.1. The router is plugged from the WAN port into the LAN port of the IPCOP.

I have a D-Link Wireless 108G MIMO Router (DI-634M) plugged into my BLUE network and have given this router the address of 192.168.2.2. The router is plugged in from teh routers's WAN port into the LAN port of the IPCOP. This is where my problem is. Does this Wireless router need to have DHCP on or off? What should my WAN settings be Dynamic IP or Static or PPOE? I am wanting to use this Wireless Router to offer free Wireless access to all my clients to access the internet. Not sure of what my router should be setup as.

What I have done is witch of DHCP and IPCOP is now giving out IP addresses. So that seems to be working. But I cannot connect to the net using a wireless connection via IPCOP.

Are my settings all correct so far as I cannot get everything to work. IPCOP starts up and runs fine but I am unsure if I have the settings correct.

Your help and advice will be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks
