I trying to setup IPFire on my net work but looks like im confusing the addresses

my current LAN IP is

IP Adresses: 10.0.0.1 - 254

Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

Default Gateway: 10.0.0.2

DNS: 10.0.0.2,8.8.8.8

I dont want to change this.

I've got 2 network cards on IPFire (Red and Green)

ADSL---> Router(LAN port)----> IPFIRE (WAN Port)--->IPFire (LAN Port) ---?Switch

What IP should the green nic be and should the red be? what gateway and DNS should i use?

I think i'll have to change the ip address of the router to a different ip range.

You can switch to PFsense. Way better. But, Red is usually for WAN and Green for lan on these types of Firewalls.

Red should probably do the PPPOE connection, and green should be 10.0.0.1 (or any unused IP really...)

Set Green Interface to 192.168.1.1 with a subnet of 255.255.255.0
Set RED interface to ppp DIALUP

login to the IPFire and set your ppoe up - ensure your ADSL is in bridge mode

I'm not too sure what you're saying you have connected to which as long as your LAN switch is connected to the IPFire LAN/Green port, and no routers are connected to the switch.

Green 10.0.0.1
ADSL Router 10.0.1.2
Red 10.0.1.1 (Don't worry about gateway and dns. Set it to get automatically from adsl router and reserved based on ip range set in router 10.0.1.201)

Set Green Interface to 192.168.1.1 with a subnet of 255.255.255.0

Don't see why you should have 10. and 192. Only confuses you.

Leave connection settings on the router. Need to have an extremely good reason to bridge IPFire and your router.

Why would this be? I've always made my Firewall/Router (Think Mikrotik and Ubiquity when I speak about Routers) handle PPPoE connections, and my Modem was always in Bridge mode without any issues. Once you set up the PPPoE session on the modem, you introduce a Double NAT situation. Good luck with that.
