iPhone 16 goes on sale

Apple Intelligence was announced in June at the company’s Worldwide Developers Conference and has been available in a limited beta test for developers for the past several weeks.

On Thursday, Apple released a public beta version of Apple Intelligence — one aimed at a wider audience — though most customers won’t access it until the suite of features is released in its final form next month.

Not that I can afford one of those things, but when are companies going to start marketing their products without AI features?

I would like a nice new higher end phone, but i don't want any of the AI crap that is getting shoved down our throats these days.

All phone did really well - @Bernoldus Niemand what is your take?

As a Samsung user I was shocked that it won the battery test but then again I use the S22 ultra which is 2 generation older and it was said to have been one with the worse battery , although I can still go a full day with the battery.

Thus far, I don't have it shoved down my throat. I see the button there, but I never use it.

Ok, I lie, sometimes I'm bored.

Thus far its been manageable, though occasionally some random Gemini crap pops up on my phone without me asking for it... but the AI push is going to get even more in our faces soon and its not something I really want.

Yeah it's ok the way it's now. I don't want it to come to the point where you often accidentally click on it.

Will wait for the real life tests thanks.
The problem is that there is no "real life" battery test.

Mobile network conditions are going to have a huge impact on battery life, so how long your battery lasts will depend a lot on where you are at the time and which network you're connected to. That's why all these battery tests happen with mobile data disabled so it can eliminate at least some of the variables.

That’s called stock android.

@Bernoldus Niemand do you know if iOS18 updates the Apple Maps?

I’m in an area that is a few years old but Apple Maps doesn’t have it yet
