iPhone 3Gs or Nokia X6?

You havent used the iPhone have you, reading about the "bad" stuff isnt the same as using the phone. I know theres alot of iPhone haters and Nokia fans out there. But give credit where its due, the iPhone is superior, as for apps, dont worry about it, theres millions and millions all far better than Symbian, even Nokia have given up on Symbian, I guess you a fan.
I always give credit where it's due, and this isn't one of those cases. In actual fact I have used an iPhone before (not my own, in case you were wondering), and I don't like the interface. Not a fan, just a consumer that knows what he wants from a phone.

Lol at reliable, when last have you used a Symbian, lemme gues you gonna name them one by, I assure Ive used more Symbian phones than you have.
By reliability I was referring to the phone as a whole, not just the operating system (or is that apps?). Like I've mentioned previously... exploding and overheating iPhones during normal use. How many other brands have had such widespread reports of those kinds of malfunctions?

If its the DRM issue(which shouldnt be) why not go for the HTC Hero? Open sourced easily, open the box and you have the whole of Google to download.
Why should I? I'm more than happy with my middle-class boring E51. I don't do flashy phones.

By the way, drop the condescending remarks, you're not doing your credibility any favours.

@JK8: Went to a Nokia press briefing. N900 is awesome. Gonna import one

I dont get the Nokia fans, there is a reason Nokia is doing terribly at the moment and its the same reason why they are planning to drop symbian.

Hmm. I'm not so convinced that the X6 will be here before christmas, but if it is then I'll grab one. Nokia and the actual distributors seem to have different schedules entirely... Nokia had had the 5530 in country for a couple of weeks before Nashua offered it. Cell C was the first operator to offer stock in shop, a month after it landed in SA. MTN have theoretical contract offerings for the thing, but no stock. Vodacom don't even seem to know it exists yet.

You can't seriously be considering the Nokia over the iPhone. The iPhone is waay better in every respect.

People talk **** about the iPhone. Exploding phones - nonsense! Mine hasn't exploded, and I've dropped it, twice! You *can* bluetooth files, multitask, do whatever. Name one thing the Nokia is better at!

The N900 looks very promising though. That's a platform which can potentially compete with iPhone OS

I would like to know what is your "source" for this statement...

Nokia are still gathering new members for the Symbian Foundation board; I guess this is what you meant with "they are planning to drop symbian"...

It's a rumor that originated from the German Financial Times in August.

IMO, S60.5 is a lost cause and heading for obsolescence and the "future" Symbians are basically vaporware right now. I'd back the iPhone and Android.

Its quite obvious considering the N900 doesnt even run Symbian...
