When you follow the link to SA though it does imply the 3GS . .That's not exactly a clear indication that the new iPhone should be available in SA. It's more a way of saying look where iPhones are used around the world.

If you have a look at some of the Vodacom Rep replies on the hellopeter website, you will see the following:
- The official Apple release date for SA is "July '09", and NOT the 9th July. If you also look at the original Apple slide, that was shown at the presentation, you will see that it is "July '09".
- Apparently Vodacom is only receiving stock in early August '09.
- It takes about a week or so to get the stock through Customs.
Therefore, we can expect actual stock to be available in week 2 / 3 of August.
BUT: Vodacom needs to COME TO THE PARTY here ... update their website ... get some marketing information out to the public ... allow us to pre-order ... stop pissing off their clients !!!!!
