We have been advised by Vodacom we are getting a healthy allocation at our Durban Gateway store

Nice nice, many thanks for that info, music to my ears. Now I just need to hope there is stocks in Cape Town in 10 days time so I can get my iPhone4 before I go on holiday next month.

So what is the cheapest one can pay a month for the iphone 4 on a 24 month contract?

Probably the most affordable is the Talk 75 package @ R189 per month with the finance option of another R189 per month - Total monthly cost R378 and you get 75 anytime minutes

Cheapest is Straight Business package at R185 per month with finance option of another R119 - Total R304 per month.

Both these options on 16GB

Maybe Vodacom are holding onto the stock for their Vodaworld launch, otherwise the stock has gone to China (who are also launching this week). But the stock is ridiculously low, I don't even know why they are bothering to launch with such low levels. It just sets people up for disappointment and as usual the stores will get the blame.

And you are taking the 32GB one, so that only leaves the shop with 3 phones.

The 18 people waiting for 32Gigs would lynch me in a second. However, that said, how do you pick one of them? Simply cannot, so it will probably lie on my desk tempting me until such time as we get more stock.

@Cellucity - is the cost of the iPhone 120 package still the same? Do we still just get 250MByte data included while Vodacom have dropped their databundle rates elsewhere? Feeling a bit cheated to renew my iPhone contract for another 2 years at the same rates while broadband prices have dropped across the board.

I got my 3gs on a 315 a year ago with a 3000ish pay in. Thought it was pretty good value considering I pay R315 and get R315 airtime every month.

Good value on those contracts - the R3000 pay in is a rip off though.

no denying that vodacom is just taking the piss when you compare US pricing and contracts. I know people have issues with Cell C, but they are always first to challenge these things. Free calls on weekends anyone?

I would go for :

100 SMS
120 min, per second billing
500MB data

That's more "2010" to me.
