I would say November. That's the usual timeframe every year.

I would stick my neck out & say late October.

Apple surprised most when it brought the iPhone 6 (Plus) models so soon after US release last year. I would expect the same this time around. I mean I see even a (small) country like NZ is incl in the 1st round of countries to get the 2015 models on the 25th Sep.

I am pretty sure NZ were always on the first list of release.

You recon...I always know of Oz-land; I can't recall NZ part of the initial list.

Maybe I'm wrong

Yeah it seems it was released 5 days later in New Zealand after arriving in AUS.

The release schedule changes alot I suppose once you take initial sales and stock into consideration so we shall see when it hits out shores.

Yup I was right...

"It should be mentioned that unlike last year, China and New Zealand are now included in the first wave of countries to get the new iPhones. The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are available in twelve countries at launch versus 9 countries for their predecessors: Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Singapore, the United Kingdom and the United States."

The iStore trade-in vouchers are only valid to end Nov. I guess that means the phones should be available well before that.

The Core Group, the company that owns all of the iStores, have mentioned that the SA release will be the 16th bud,

Where was this mentioned and why didn't Apple then mention South Africa as part of the 16th October release?

As far as I'm concerned, Core is not Apple and if Apple haven't announced it then I'm not sure how Core could have announce it before Apple.

Edit: Doesn't sound kosher to me.

Apple has announced it as 16.10.

Hmmm weird, usually they list South Africa as part of the other countries that they list.

Ok, point taken then.

Was never my intention to be the first, just didn't understand where everyone was getting the 16 October from.

But don't you worry my friend, I don't need to be the first, I'll still get it cheaper then anyone that buys it here :)

Brags about being able to afford an iPhone - jumps through hoops to get it cheaper than normal.
:wtf:

Luckily I won the lotto last night so now maybe I can afford an iPhone as well.

I'm not jumping through any hoops, I'm getting it from the US where the price of the 128gb is $849 which equates to R11 760.

Don't see how I'm jumping through any hoops here.

Edit: And I'm not going to the US just to get an iPhone and in fact im not going at all. I have someone whose going there and offered to get me one while he is there.

Again, I'm not sure how I'm jumping through any hoops?
