Hello. The best kept secret is that vodacom offers 1 free screen repair on contract. Only vodacom does this as long as it's a contract fone

Hi, I just phoned ifix and they say they don't have screens.
Then I phone MTN and they say they don't do repairs, only device exchanges - quoted me 10k!!!

Any help would be appreciated

The reason MTN wont do is it because the Core Group of thieves immediately stop honoring warranty on devices that are "tampered" with. Core's own method to fix your screen is to replace the phone with a refurbished (dodgy) one of theirs - hence MTN is doing the same.

I'm not sure how Vodacom is doing it though? Cause they must still be honoring the warranty but I know from experience if you take an iPhone back with a repaired screen for another problem Core will tell you to get lost. Interestingly proper Apple stores in other parts of the world, don't. Again from experience..

Core have nothing to do with iPhone warranties in the country. Only the 4 networks bring iPhones into SA and the piddly volume iStore sell are supplied to them via telkom mobile. So I wouldn't worry overly about what they think or say unless you are sourcing directly from one of their stores off contract.

Just make sure that the repairer uses your original home button and ribbon when they do the replacement.

Error 53 is waiting...

This is the first I've heard of this too, I'm pretty sure they don't...

They did at one stage. I've got it on a P8 Lite. There's a slight bend from the drop and they're refusing even to book it in. They're full of crap
