iPhone fully functional on Vodacom

The iPhone now works 100% on the Vodacom network. Apparently a minor upgrade was done last night and this morning the device was receiving calls like a champion

That article is largely bogus. You dont need to supply a ssn because you dont even need to activate it on ATT's network.

You buy the phone and unlock it with free software. ;)

I have the money to buy the phone and the sense not to be taken for an iRide in the process.

Sorry I forgot that Bwana knows everything, he cannot possibly be wrong

LOL.. My cousin just got back from the states a week ago, i managed to fiind unlocking software on the net and managed to unlock it for him..

Phone was working 100% week ago, don't know what minor upgrade you were talking about.

And bwana is right R8000 is a ridiculous price for that phone, IMHO its not even worth the US price. With no keyboard, that phone will drive you to insanity.
