Iphone on Cellc, Internet settings to use on Vodacom

Hi guys, just wanted to post this thread to let you know encase you didnt know. For all the cell C Supporters that got an Iphone

If you wanna be able to use the internet when roaming on vodacom, I found that you could only use the internet only when roaming on Cellc . You want belive how easy this solution is. Here it is


· Click on Settings

· Select General (Step 1)

· Select Network (Step 2)

· Put “Data Roaming” ON (Step 3)

· Select “Cellular Data Network” (Step 3 image as well)

· APN type in “internet”.

I'm not sure that I understand you 100%.

the "...could only use the internet only when roaming on Cellc" part confuses me slightly.

Does this mean you can only use the internet through the CellC network even if you opted the roaming on Vodacom option?

LOL. I have had this issue since porting to Cell C for months. Initially thought it was because of the bad Cell C network at the office. Can't believe this easy solution solved my problem. I knew it had to be something simple, but not THIS simple. It might be 3 years later, but this solution definitely helped me!

Well I live next to a vodacom tower and cant connect to it via my 3g modem, even when i run edge signal doesn't do anything.
