Uhm... this is exactly what F1 is all about!
I used to love my F1! I'd never miss a race, no matter what.. However, the key word is "race" which is precisely what F1 lacks these days. There is no more racing. Heaven forbid you try race someone. Slight contact, penalty. Blocking, penalty. Cross that white line, penalty. Too far behind the safety car, penalty. etc.. And don't even get me started on this DRS nonsense. It's synthetic overtaking at best. You get catapulted in front of another driver, and he dare not try stop you as he'll just get a penalty for blocking. There's nothing he can do about it.
Every race is a formality. Hamilton vs Rosberg.. Before that it was the Red Bull show. Brawn GP before that. Renault, Ferrari, etc etc. There needs to be a budget cap (among other rules) to prevent the sport from continuing to be a one horse race. The problem is that there's so much money in it, that certain teams hold the sport ransom. Not to mention Bernie Ecclestone who only seems to care about money. Heck, some of the best and most historic race tracks are gone because Ecclestone wanted too much money (hence the move to Dubai, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, etc).
Don't get me wrong, I still watch F1 but I no longer make a point of watching it. I don't really care if I miss a race anymore as it's generally all over once the first corner is done. Man, I wish they would change some rules to make it a more level playing field, bring back refueling, change the qualifying format, etc. It could really become more exciting again. Just my 2 cents..
Any that is why I watch the IPL over F1.
