They should never have taken him alive in the first place. He should have been dealt with in the same way as his scumbag sons and denied the opportunity to act out his court drama over the course of... how many years? After Milosevic the West should have known better.

I'm not so sure about the legitimacy of his trial tho'. ALso the worst thing they could do is execute Saddam in a formal way. Like Fewl says, he never shoulda stayed alive. He should have been "killed" during his cpature. I think that when Saddam is executed, stuff will escalate, will cause a deeper rift in the society. America will never be able to leave. Once they do, things will descend even furhter into chaos.

Iraq is only in disorder because of USA.
Er, yeah, so long as you were a member of the Sunni minority  Iraq has always sucked for the majority of Iraqi's. Now? It just sucks for everyone... equally.

Shouldn't that be GEORGE?

Whole thing is a farce and for anybody to believe it shows their gullibility to propaganda.
He'll get his turn.... But Yes He should get it too !!!!
He'll probably be the next JF Kennedy !

oops... I think I'm missing something.
It is fitting that the very individuals who protect the treason at the top that defines the official assassination of President Kennedy are performing that role in relation to the events of 9/11 --- a precise correlative to Operation Gladio, first exposed by the investigative work of Paese Sera, which linked the CIA murder apparatus in Italy to the one that murdered the head of state in America.

Did the CIA kill Bobby Kennedy

The anti-Cuban Miami Mafiosi — the same groups that sponsored the crimes of Orlando Bosch and Luis Posada Carriles 40 years ago — charge with impunity for their electoral services by blackmailing both a president and a people

Looking at the replies, it should be done quick indeed. People forget what this man Saddam and his son’s did. Does it justify that they should not be treated as cold blooded murderers that had no compassion for their fellow citizens. Shooting someone point blank just you did not like criticism or offended because of a bad joke? The Saddams were and still are evil. The Hitlers of the Arabics

In this sordid bloodied world anybody who points fingers at anybody is usually as guilty of the crimes they are pointing to!

Sickening rhetoric.

And yes Saddam was a reign of terror largely supported by the usa.

(until he didn't fit their political machinations anymore so they let him go ahead and invade Kuwait.)

Maybe so but it still doesn't justify his actions or make him innocent.

So it is ok whatever you did before someone toppled you than it is ok. Well maybe it would have been nice for USA to have sailed into our borders and bombed the hell out of us then we all hate the USA. De Kock would have been a hero then – a martyr of the US oppression? SICK SICK SICK

Murder is never justified. Now america is murdering saddam using some excuse. If they want to charge him for crimes against humanity then try him in the proper court with proper authority and proper justice. Anything else is an affront.
